Konpira Kabuki [Theater]
KOTOHIRA town is famous for the gateway town of Konpira-shrine,
and also known for Konpira Kabuki.
I went to see Kabuki for the first time in my life.
Before entrance I had Sanuki-udon. Yum-yum.
The theater, Kanamaruza is traditional and not so large.
The capacity is 740 seats.
But Kabuki actors are first-rate. Kichiemon is a living national treasure.
I entered through a small door.
The theater was full house.
My seat was upstaires.
It was so exciting!
There is no aisle in downstaire seats, so audience walk on narrow boards.
I wanted to walk on it, but I could'nt.
Kabuki is traditional play, but not stiff.
Actually sees made me understand, it's for masses.
I really enjoyed.
