I think Olino-shima is really far isn't it?
I went to Shimanto-river two years ago and I took a long time to go to there from Kouchi-air port by a car. If I want to go to Okino-shima,should I have to ride a ship additionally?....It is a little bit pain to me=-/
But!! If I could see Pigmy sea horses,I would go to there!!
I have thought that we are not able to see Pigmy sea horses in Japan till read your article. Thank you for your useful news!

Pigmy sea horses is not rare in Okino-shima.
If you just go, you must meet them.
Frankly, Okino-shima is farther than Okinawa for Kanto people.

Matsuyama Air Port=>Sukumo city : 3 hours by car
Sukumo city =>Okinoshima : 30 minutes by diving cruiser

We, Ehime people can retune in a day. =)

もちろんガイドさんに教えてもらいました。コンデジ内蔵ストロボ撮影なので、写真が平面的でわかりにくいですね。本物は意外と目立っていましたよ。
